Although Jana Kramer has a lot to keep her busy, she still ensures the strict compliance of her family with house rules. In an exclusive chat with PEOPLE, the mother of two disclosed that despite her tight and active schedule, she still creates time for her family, especially her children. Jana, who is working on her ‘Whine Down' podcast with her heartthrob Mike Caussin and making serious efforts to expand her country music career, revealed some of the tricks she uses to keep her family together.
She believes using cellphones at the dinner table makes it difficult to bond as a family needs continuous conversation around the table and among relatives to build healthy relationships. So no cellphones at the dinner table or any other mealtime.
Going even further, Jana explained that this practice doesn’t apply to the dinner table alone. She says she ensures her phones are switched off when she is not working to avoid distractions. She does thisto ensure she has ample time with her kids.
Jana has two children with Caussin. Their first child is three-year-old Jolie, and Jace who joined the family about six months ago. Kramer confessed that she works hard to set a good example for her children mainly because they are in a formative stage in their lives and their actions are not independent of what they see their parents do. Kramer has been heavily involved in various charity programs and she says she sees it as a way for her kids to connect to her values. She further added that involving her little daughter in this year’s childhood poverty awareness campaign was a deliberate act and she is glad she was able to fully participate.
Jana Kramer further hinted that she may have completed growing her family.
