Dwayne Douglas Johnson was also known by his ring name The Rock and is an American actor, businessman, and erstwhile professional wrestler.  A few of his acting stints are, Jumanji, Red Notice, Scryscaper, and more.

He is known for his big and strong, recognizable look. He has a wonderful smile and kind eyes. His signature bald head is pretty iconic and a stark contrast from his early days with his typical look that included a turtleneck, gold chain, and fanny pack.

Also, unlike many other actors on the list, Dwayne Johnson did not turn bald because of a genetic predisposition but he is bald by choice. It is said that he made the change in 2010. Right before the big bald change, he appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman where he had a slight-and-pepper buzzy haircut. After that, it has been a smooth ride as far as his head is concerned.

Bruce Willis

Apart from being the gold standard for big blockbuster popcorn action flicks, the Die Hard film actor has been part of many films that exercised his acting talents such as Pulp Fiction, 12 Monkeys, Armageddon, and more. But, people became shocked when he decided to shave it all off. After years of sporting great-looking hair, John Travolta decided to give his hair a complete shave.

It does make him look like a stylish and strong villain. But if you see his look over the years, his look like the Eyder in the film The Taking of Pelham 123 worked for him well. His films were doing well too and he was piling up his net worth so his hairstyle was working.

His charming and effervescent self also adds much to his personality giving him a distinctive edge in his looks.

The films that put him on the Hollywood map are Coming to America, Goodfellas, Patriot Games, Juice, Menace II Society, True Romance, and more. For his role in Pulp Fiction, he got a nomination for Best Supporting Actor. (Academy Award).

He started losing hair when he was just 19, although, initially he felt bad and had to do with a toupee, especially for auditions, later on, he got more used to it and even accepted his bald look as his fans accepted him too.

His bald look is now very much part of his overall personality and we can't imagine Patrick without his quintessential look, can we?

Kevin James

Kevin George Knipfing or Kevin James as he is professionally known as is an American actor, comedian, and screenwriter. His most popular roles include the role of Doug Heffernan in The King of Queens and Paul Blart in the movie Paul Blart: Mall Cop. He even got a People's Choice Award for his act in the CBS sitcom Kevin Can Wait.

Losing hair for anyone can be a harrowing experience, especially when you are an actor, something similar happened with Mark Strong as started losing hair in his 20s.

Although you may sometimes see him sporting thick hair from time to time, it may have more to do with artificial hair than anything. When Diggs noticed that he was losing his hair, he knew it was high time he should shave it off. He was not ready to see it fading away and therefore, chose the better path.

Ben Kingsley

Born Krishna Pandit Bhanji, this highly talented English actor came to be known as Sir Ben Kingsley to the acting fraternity. He is known for his highly-acclaimed performances in several films to date, such as Gandhi, Schindler's List, Twelfth Night, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, etc.

Sir Kingsley has laid his hands on one British Film Academy Award, one Grammy Award, one Screen Actors Guild Award, two Golden Globe Awards, and one Academy Award. The title of Knight Bachelor was bestowed upon him in 2002 for his contribution to the British film industry.

Sir Kingsley has married four times but had to hire a family law attorney in three of them. He had quite a bit of hair on his head before he was chosen to play the title role in Gandhi. That was the moment that the actor thought he would keep this look forever. He has facial hair though.

Billy Zane

The American actor had his breakthrough with his portrayal in Dead Calm, an Australian film in 1989. His performance in the movie helped him get nominated for the prestigious Chicago Film Critics Association Award in the Most Promising Actor category.

Since then, Billy Zane has established himself in the world of acting. Those who have watched Titanic would easily recognize him as he played the character of Caledon Hockey in the epic film. Zane was married to Australian actress, Lisa Collins from 1989 to 1995. They needed the interference of a divorce lawyer.

As per the reports we have got, he is engaged to his present girlfriend, Candice Neil. It was not that we didn't like Zane with a head full of hair. But after he embraced the bald look in the 90s decade, we like him more now.

Sean Connery

The Scottish actor was the first man to play the character of James Bond on the silver screen. He holds the distinction of playing the title role in more than six Bond films from 1962 to 1983. Never Say Never Agin was probably his last appearance as James Bond.

Sir Connery has also portrayed key roles in various other films such as The Man Who Would Be King, Murder on the Orient Express, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, The Rock, and many more. He has been honored with the BAFTA Awards twice, the Golden Globes thrice, and an Oscar once.

It's a pity that he retired from the film industry in 2012. His retirement was a shock for us. Sir Connery would always remain popular for his head of hair during the time he portrayed Bond. But that hardly means that the actor lost his charisma after going bald.

Damon Wayans

After winning hearts as a comedian and actor in the 80s decade, Damon Wayans never had to look back. His stint in the late-night variety show, Saturday Night Live is still etched in public memory. Aside from being an actor and a comedian, Wayans has also found success as a writer and a producer.

He has played key roles in several films and TV shows, such as The Last Boy Scout, Major Payne, and Beverly Hills Cop. Between 2016 and 2019, Wayans was seen playing the character of Roger Murtaugh in Lethal Weapon, the TV series. His success helped him stay away from bankruptcy.

Before Wayans joined the star cast of Major Payne, he had a full head. Afterward, he stuck to that bald look and has been carrying it with elan. You can't tell his age by just looking at him. His son, Damon Wayans Jr. also rocks the look often.

Jonathan Banks

If you are a film buff, you would surely know who Jonathan Banks is. He caught the attention of the critics and the fans with his portrayals in films such as Beverly Hills Cop, Airplane!, etc., and in television shows like Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and others.

Banks has been nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award six times in 1989, 2013, and 2015. 2016, 2017, 2019. He has been active in the industry since 1974. He was married to Marnie Fausch for two years and called upon a divorce attorney before he finally settled in holy matrimony with Gennera Gonzalez Debian in 1990.

Along with his impressive acting skills, Banks looked dashing with his full head. We wonder why he shaved it off. Maybe, to get aboard for Breaking bad. Anyway, we are okay with his bald look. It seems he won't grow any hair in the times to come.

Alan Arkin

Who can forget Alan Arkin's performances in films viz? The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming, Little Miss Sunshine, Wait Until Dark, and Argo? His portrayal in Little Miss Sunshine helped him lay his hands on an Oscar in the Best Supporting Actor category.

Aside from that, he has won one Golden Globe Award and one British Academy Film Award. Arkin walked down the aisle with Jeremy Yaffe and  Barbara Dana, before he appointed a family law attorney to get divorced and eventually settle down with Suzanne Newlander in 1996.

His short black hair looked very cute on him during his younger days and helped him earn various roles in films. But when he lost his hair, that hardly had any effect on his career. His fan base has kept on growing with time. He is now busy portraying more mature roles.

Michael Jordan

Michael Jeffrey Jordan is arguably the greatest basketball player of all time. Even the official NBA website states that Jordan is acclaimed as the greatest player to have played the sport.

Out of the fifteen seasons that he plied his trade in the National Basketball Association, Jordan helped his team, the Chicago Bulls emerge as champions in the NBA Finals six times. That's a record in itself. Jordan plays a key role in popularizing basketball and the NBA across the globe in the 80s and 90s decade.

Slowly and steadily, he became a global cultural icon. His bank account has been jingling with currency for a long time. During those days when he used to play college football for the University, he did have hair on his head. However, when he joined the Bulls, the hair was gone and a goatee came in its place.

James Spader

This 1986 version of James Spader is unrecognizable and that's obvious. Now that his thick mane is no longer present, one can go back to the 'Pretty in Pink' days and recollect how amazing he looked. Not that he still looks great, at least apt for his age, but we believe he surely misses the lush-full-head-of-hair days!

The debate around Spader's hair has existed for a fairly long time. It was when fans saw him on 'The Office' that his somewhat receding hairline became the talking point. In the present days, both the press and fans speculated seeing him in the Raymond Reddington (from 'The Blacklist'- 2021) avatar that probably some mysterious illness or weight gain could be the issue.

But to put it straight, Red or Spader's hair isn't the most important aspect of the show. The American actor and producer who is now in his 60s, prefer keeping his mane short and tight.

Ed Harris

Ed's 80s hairstyle complemented his look perfectly. He did have some hair on the upper crest of his head and preferred keeping it longer on the sides. Though he had issues from the start about his not-so-thick-mane, we know for a fact how wonderfully he embraced ut, which eventually became his signature style.

A head full of hair is often linked to manliness and 'feeling bald' has a lot to do with one's psyche. For those who often push themselves towards hair transplants, Ed stood firmly against the practice. He was 28 when he wore a wig for an audition after his first agent suggested. He still believes he looked ridiculous!

Ed was often asked in interviews how going bald affected his personality, to which he always stated it largely shaped his career! One of the finest American actors and filmmakers from the 70s, Ed earned several Academy Award nominations, besides critical acclaim.

Robert Duvall

The young Robert could make go anyone goes weak in the knees! He has aged (now in his 90s), but stayed at the top of his game for about seven decades! A recipient of the prestigious Academy Award, four Golden Globe Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards, a BAFTA Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award- his hair loss failed to stand in the way of his success.

In his 20s, he had good hair on his head. But after the 1970s, the amount of hair that Duvall lost was a point of concern among his peers and family. One look at the 2 years between the release of 'The Godfather' (1972) and 'The Godfather Part II' (1974) would clearly show how horrifying the change was.

But he embraced his look and kept delivering hits after hits. And today Duvall is still his happy self, which of course the world knows and loves him for.

Michael Chiklis

Chiklis has largely been spotted in his bald avatar. A musician, film and TV actor, and a producer recognized worldwide, Michael sported a drastic change in his look after the 80s.

The actor confessed that a large portion of his hair was lost in his 20s when he essayed the role of a bald man in the play titled 'You Can't Take it With You'. He attributed it to the special effects make-up technique that went wrong and that led him to adopt a look for which he wasn't responsible. He openly stated how he failed to act smart and instead of using powder on his head (since his role demanded him to play a 65-year-old), he used greasepaint!

Of course, his baldness shaped his career in more ways than one. Often he had to wear hair pieces, which he disliked. But he carries zero regrets now for his hairstyle shaped his immensely successful career.

Aaron Paul

In his early 40s, Aaron faced this typical hair loss condition. Best known for portraying the role of Jesse Pinkman in the hit series 'Breaking Bad', the American Actor fetched multiple awards, including the 'Critics' Choice TV Award' for his role.
